H Street

The Atlas District, also known as the H Street Corridor, is a burgeoning arts and entertainment district, located just east of Union Station in Washington D.C. Once a flourishing community, the area suffered economic setbacks after the riots of 1968 and began a resurgence in the late 1990s when a local restaurateur began to transform a three block area with various music venues and taverns.

The past few years have seen a huge population surge as economic development has exploded. Driven by a campaign around the revitalized Atlas Theater, now the Atlas Performing Arts Center is home to Capitol City Symphony. The Atlas District has everything to offer a homebuyer from Victorian townhouses and converted school buildings, to modern condos and luxury development projects. The Atlas District is a wonderful mix of old and new, with vintage shops and pet boutiques popping up next to the Southern fish joint thats been on the block for decades.
